Frequently asked questions

Do I need to have specific teaching degrees to offer the TTRS course? Ideally, you will be a teacher but you don't need to have any specific teaching degrees to be a TTRS tutor.

How many students do you recommend in a group session and what equipment do I need? We suggest no more than one teacher to every 10 students. As TTRS is an online course, you will need internet access and each student should have a computer or iPad, keyboard, and headphones.

How often should group sessions take place? We recommend weekly sessions, ideally where students have home access to TTRS in between. You might also want to run intensive courses for 1-2 weeks with daily sessions.

Can I use TTRS for online sessions? Yes, TTRS can be used by students and tutors working remotely. Please see this help article on virtual tutoring.

Can I be both a TTRS Tutor and a TTRS affiliate? Yes! You can use the platform as a tutor with your students and also recommend TTRS to individuals, families and schools as an affiliate, earning commission when they sign up. Learn more.
